Super Pokemon Scramble International Release
Nintendo announced the international release of Super Pokemon Scramble today! The game is being localized as "Pokemon Rumble Blast", and is being released for Nintendo 3DS on August the twenty fourth this year.
For those that don't know, Pokemon Rumble Blast is the sequel to Pokemon Rumble for WiiWare. In the Rumble series, players control one of several toy Pokemon, and traverse through areas whilst fighting other toy Pokemon. As with any installment in the franchise, players collect more Pokemon to add to their arensal as they progress through the game, and can use them to fight other players.
There are several different modes of gameplay in Rumble Blast. There is Standard Mode, in which the player goes through levels, fighting Pokemon, collecting coins that can be used to buy items and more Pokemon, and fights a larger "boss" Pokemon at the end of each level. This mode can be played alone or with an extra player via the 3DS' local wireless feature.
There is a Battle Royal mode, in which the player chooses three Pokemon and is sent to an arena to fight as many Pokemon as he can within a time limit. New to the sequel, there is also Team Battle, where the player controls three Pokemon simultaneously, Charge Battle, where the player controls an entire army of Pokemon as does his opponent, and Street Pass Battle, which is activated only when two players with the game pass by each other with their 3DS in sleep mode.
In Street Pass, the enemy player (or rather a virtual representation of him) picks one of his Pokemon to challenge you with. A boss battle takes place, and if the player wins he earns a prize of some sort.
